Half-Life 2 is an immersive first person shooter from the developers atthe creators of the original Half-Life. Building off of the riveting storyline and gameplay of the debut title, Half-Life 2 pushes the envelope even further and has once again "raised the bar" of the FPS genre. In addition to the PC version, Half-Life 2 has been ported to Xbox and will be released for both the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 in 2007. Players once again assume the role of scientist Gordon Freeman, but this time Gordon finds himself in a post-apocalyptic environment—apparently a result of the Black Mesa Incident. With Earth's human population oppressively held in prison-like urban centers, its natural landscape ravaged by the effects of Xen infestations and a whole new enemy that has viciously annexed the human race into its ranks, the future of mankind seems bleak at best. Looks like it's once again up to Gordon to save the day!

Le film, qui n'a pas vraiment eu beaucoup de succès en 2006, vous permet de découvrir d'où vient la viande des fast food (mcdo & cie). Et laissez moi vous dire que ça ne donne vraiment pas envie de manger un burger après... L'histoire des Mexicains qui arrivent aux US pour réaliser le "rêve américain" et qui se retrouvent à la chaîne de l'usine de viande est assez triste et révèle à quel point l'immigration illégale donne à ces gens des travaux vraiment durs et peu rémunérés. Mais ils les prennent et acceptent tout (l'impossible comme l'inimaginable) dans le but de rester dans le pays de leurs rêves.

For people of several nationalities, ham or pork is the luckiest thing to eat on New Year's Day. How did the pig become associated with the idea of good luck? In Europe hundreds of years ago, wild boars were caught in the forests and killed on the first day of the year. Also, a pig uses its snout to dig in the this, and they are part of one of New Year's most colorful dishes, Hoppin' John, which is eaten in many southern states. Hoppin' John is made with black-eyed peas or dried red peas, combined with hog jowls, bacon, or salt pork. Rice, butter, salt, or other vegetables may be added. The children in the family might even hop around the table before the family sits down to eat this lucky dish. In Brazil, lentils are a symbol of prosperity, so lentil soup or lentils with rice is prepared for the first meal of the New Year. Thousands of miles away, the Japanese observe their New Year's tmay follow the custom of eating twelve grapes or raisins to bring them luck for all twelve months of the coming year!
